Seila Gonzalez Estrecha is Director of Programming at MATRIX. She holds a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Alabama, and obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Malaga (Spain). Her graduate research focused on non-polynomial time algorithms and hardware/ software co-design, and she defended her thesis, “List Scheduling and Simulated Annealing in a HW/SW Co-design Environment,” in 2011. Prior to coming to Michigan State, Seila worked as a software engineer for Indra Software Labs, a multinational systems integrator based in Spain. She also previously worked as a GIS programmer for Sadiel, a software company headquartered in Seville.
