Afripod Episode 90: ‘Language and Power-Khoesan Studies’

Africa Past & Present has recently released their latest podcast, Episode 90: 'Language and Power-Khoesan Studies'. Hosts Peter Alegi and Peter Limb speak with renowned researcher, writer, and teacher Menán Du Plessis. The South African native is an assistant professor at the University of Kentucky, as well as a researcher at South Africa's Stellenbosch University. The podcast discusses Du Plessis' ongoing research in studying the importance of Khoesan linguistics to southern African studies. Additional topics include the movement to digitally document and preserve threatened African languages as well as the potential impact from the Internet and mass media outlets.
